I saw these two young people deep in conversation in a Summer park. It brought me back to the days when I was college-aged and thought the beginning or the end of every interpersonal relationship had Earth-shattering consequences. Sometimes I'm thankful I'm off that roller-coaster of passion and sometimes I miss it. I don't know if these two were friends, lovers, or bike buddies. They represent a time in life when so many experiences were new and difficult to navigate beneath the benign veneer of a simple talk in the park. Something about that tugged at my heart and made me smile.
